Historic thermal baths in an invigorating environment

In the heart of a green and invigorating nature, close to the majestic volcanoes of Auvergne, lies the commune of Mont-Dore. It is home to the Mont-Dore spa, a listed monument. Mont-Dore belongs to La Chaîne Thermale du Soleil, created in 1947. Each of its establishments follows a fundamental principle: to put forward its history and its environment.

And this is the case of the resort of Mont-Dore. Renowned for its exclusive and multiple treatment ranges, it is home to silica-rich springs. But well beyond its walls and its recognized know-how, it is for the nature which surrounds it that we decided to look into it…

Discovery and letting go in a “Slow-nature” way

Since the beginning of the year, Mont-Dore has offered a “Slow Nature” mini-cure. It’s a real breath of fresh air and oxygen in the middle of large forest areas. The program takes place over 6 days with 36 treatments that combine sports, resinous modeling and sophrology.

The cure offers both hydrotherapy based on natural elements – thermal baths with coniferous trees, relaxing modelling with essential oil of fir, hot clay cataplasms with plants. But also outdoor treatments, such as meditative walking, forest therapy and tai chi in the forest.

At the same time, these treatments are reinforced by the thermal expertise of Mont-Dore which completes this “Slow Nature” mini-cure. The curists have access to the thermal swimming pool and the steam baths. It is also an opportunity for them to soothe themselves with foot reflexology and anti-stress sophrology sessions. And why not continue to get the body moving by going to the fitness room?

The diversity, the commitment and the experience of Mont-Dore make this cure a little jewel. It reconnects us to nature and allows us to forget the little worries of everyday life and the outside world.

Finally, what if this “Slow-Nature” cure was the refuge and comfort you were looking for to fully appreciate the arrival of spring?
