Wellness weekend ideas in the Bas-Rhin
The Bas-Rhin has many hotels with spas. Between jacuzzi, swimming pool, hammam, sauna, massage, treatments, you will inevitably find the right establishment for a simple moment of relaxation or to boost your vitality.
Want to have a great time and eat well? Book a stay in one of the rooms or suites of the Parc Obernai, a few kilometers from Mont Sainte-Odile. But above all, we recommend that you try their spa called Yonaguni Spa. This wellness area covers 2500 m² and has more than 330 m² of bathing space and numerous facilities dedicated to wellness.
If you’re looking for a spa hotel in a natural setting, we’ve found just the place. For this, head to the 5 star hotel, member of Relais & Châteaux, Hostellerie La Cheneaudière in Colroy-la-Roche. There you can relax in the natural pool with pure water filtered by mountain plants, in the whirlpools, in the heated outdoor course and much more. Relax in the sauna and sanarium, purify yourself in the hammam.
The wellness facilities at La Source des Sens or 5 Terres Hotel Spa – MGallery, the Régent Petite France Hotel & Spa or the Maison Rouge Strasbourg Hotel & Spa Autograph Collection also offer relaxation areas and outstanding treatments.
For a wellness activity to do with friends, we suggest the Taaka Beer Spa, the first beer spa to have opened its doors in the heart of Strasbourg.
Discovering the vineyards of the Bas-Rhin
Whether you are a wine lover or a connoisseur, don’t hesitate to visit the cellars of Alsace to discover all the secrets of these prestigious wines. Extend the experience by visiting the vineyards. On foot, by bike, by car… If you are a cyclist, the Véloroute du Vignoble d‘Alsace is made for you. 131,5km long, you will cross authentic villages, vineyards and hilly landscapes. Stop at Domaine Boehler or Domaine Allimant-Laugner to discover their wines.
The Bas-Rhin, land of castles, will fascinate you by its numerous fortresses. You will find them all over the region. Travel through history by visiting the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle, the Lichtenberg castle, the Haut-Andlau castle or the Fleckenstein castle.
Our idea of a tour in the Bas-Rhin
If you want to get away from the urban hustle and bustle and discover a nature destination not far from Paris, the Bas-Rhin is the ideal place.
Day 1: Visit the city of Strasbourg
After your arrival in the Bas-Rhin or your first night in your spa hotel in or around Strasbourg, we suggest that you explore the city on foot, by segway or by boat. During your stroll, let yourself be seduced by the richness of the European capital. Discover the Petite France district, the Notre-Dame cathedral, the Place Kléber, the Maison Kammerzell. At noon, have lunch in one of the Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurants. In the afternoon, leave the city and visit the pretty village of Obernai, 30 kilometers from Strasbourg.
Day 2: Europapark
For this second day, we suggest you cross the German border to Europa Park, in Rust. Thrills, thrills and laughter guaranteed!
