Spa hotel stay in the Bas-Rhin

Once you have chosen your spa hotel, it is time to worry about your program. This will not be an easy task since this department abounds in all kinds of experiences and different natural landscapes. Castles, cities, restaurants, winery visits, wine roads, wine estates, authentic villages...believe us, you won't be bored on your Alsatian getaway. Unique Hôtel Spa's editorial team has made it its mission to find the best activities for a romantic stay, a wellness or luxury weekend, alone, with your family or friends.

Romantic stay in the Bas-Rhin

The department of Bas-Rhin is full of romantic places. To help you in your search, we have decided to offer you a list of ideas to do with your other half in this charming part of France.

Start your escapade by going to Strasbourg, the capital of Europe. This city will undoubtedly seduce you for its undeniable charm, its art of living and its authentic setting. We are convinced of this and we are not the only ones to say that this city appeals to couples. According to a ranking by EarTripper, Strasbourg is among the 10 most romantic cities in France. There is no shortage of activities to spend a romantic weekend. Take a stroll through the Petite France district, have a picnic on the waterfront or a romantic aperitif on the water, have lunch or dinner at a starred gourmet restaurant or learn to dance salsa at Barco Latino. If you are visiting in December, be sure to visit the famous Christmas market.

After discovering the majestic city of Strasbourg, we recommend that you get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and wander through the charming little Alsatian villages of Obernai or Mittelbergheim.

Of course, we can't be exhaustive on all the activities to do as a couple in this department.

Wellness weekend ideas in the Bas-Rhin

The Bas-Rhin has many hotels with spas. Between jacuzzi, swimming pool, hammam, sauna, massage, treatments, you will inevitably find the right establishment for a simple moment of relaxation or to boost your vitality.

Want to have a great time and eat well? Book a stay in one of the rooms or suites of the Parc Obernai, a few kilometers from Mont Sainte-Odile. But above all, we recommend that you try their spa called Yonaguni Spa. This wellness area covers 2500 m² and has more than 330 m² of bathing space and numerous facilities dedicated to wellness.

If you're looking for a spa hotel in a natural setting, we've found just the place. For this, head to the 5 star hotel, member of Relais & Châteaux, Hostellerie La Cheneaudière in Colroy-la-Roche. There you can relax in the natural pool with pure water filtered by mountain plants, in the whirlpools, in the heated outdoor course and much more. Relax in the sauna and sanarium, purify yourself in the hammam.

The wellness facilities at La Source des Sens or 5 Terres Hotel Spa - MGallery, the Régent Petite France Hotel & Spa or the Maison Rouge Strasbourg Hotel & Spa Autograph Collection also offer relaxation areas and outstanding treatments.

For a wellness activity to do with friends, we suggest the Taaka Beer Spa, the first beer spa to have opened its doors in the heart of Strasbourg.

Discovering the vineyards of the Bas-Rhin

Whether you are a wine lover or a connoisseur, don't hesitate to visit the cellars of Alsace to discover all the secrets of these prestigious wines. Extend the experience by visiting the vineyards. On foot, by bike, by car... If you are a cyclist, the Véloroute du Vignoble d'Alsace is made for you. 131,5km long, you will cross authentic villages, vineyards and hilly landscapes. Stop at Domaine Boehler or Domaine Allimant-Laugner to discover their wines.

The Bas-Rhin, land of castles, will fascinate you by its numerous fortresses. You will find them all over the region. Travel through history by visiting the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle, the Lichtenberg castle, the Haut-Andlau castle or the Fleckenstein castle.

Our idea of a tour in the Bas-Rhin

If you want to get away from the urban hustle and bustle and discover a nature destination not far from Paris, the Bas-Rhin is the ideal place.

Day 1: Visit the city of Strasbourg

After your arrival in the Bas-Rhin or your first night in your spa hotel in or around Strasbourg, we suggest that you explore the city on foot, by segway or by boat. During your stroll, let yourself be seduced by the richness of the European capital. Discover the Petite France district, the Notre-Dame cathedral, the Place Kléber, the Maison Kammerzell. At noon, have lunch in one of the Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurants. In the afternoon, leave the city and visit the pretty village of Obernai, 30 kilometers from Strasbourg.

Day 2: Europapark

For this second day, we suggest you cross the German border to Europa Park, in Rust. Thrills, thrills and laughter guaranteed!

A program tested and approved by the whole Unique Hotel Spa team

The Bas-Rhin is a natural destination that is suitable for all types of stays. Whether you are a couple, a family, alone or with friends, you are sure to find the spa hotel and activities that suit you.
