A timeless place in the Loire Valley
Les Sources de Cheverny is located in the middle of a vast two hundred year old forest, a few kilometers from the Château de Cheverny which inspired Hergé for Tintin’s Moulinsart.
Entirely dedicated to well-being and nature, this 45-hectare vineyard hotel estate is the promise of a return to nature, of a total disconnection for a weekend or more. Alice and Jérôme Tourbier, the owners, who are already behind Les Sources de Caudalie, have imagined this haven of peace as a family home, where people can enjoy each other’s company.
The perfect address to visit the castles of the Loire Valley
Between Chambord and Chenonceau, the Sources are ideally located to visit the whole Loire Valley and its castles. The domain’s bicycle park allows you to ride along the small roads and discover all the treasures of this magnificent region.
And after these historical visits, it is time to relax and think only of yourself. How can you do that? Simply by walking or riding around the estate. Walking alone in nature, listening to the birds singing, trying the famous “hugh a tree” and getting immediate benefits, are simple things anyone can do. The disconnection is instantaneous.
For swimming enthusiasts, a 25-meter outdoor swimming pool awaits you facing the forest. Are you cold? In that case, we recommend the magnificent indoor pool. Don’t forget to try the barrel bath, a jacuzzi made of oak wood!
Of course, the Spa des Sources offers all the body and face treatments with antioxidant and anti-aging grape seed extracts of the Caudalie brand. And for those who want to regain their energy and boost their immune system, yoga retreats are regularly offered.
A hamlet on the edge of the forest, in a magnificent Sologne landscape.
The Sources are arranged like a hamlet around the castle of Breuil.
Each of the 49 rooms of the domain is different, furnished with furniture found in the region. All are unique, with a view of the surrounding woods and ponds.
The whole place has a chic “family home” atmosphere.
If you have read and loved Italo Calvino’s Baron Perché, you will want to book the Baron Perché suite. With a view of the lake, this elegant 47m2 bungalow on stilts guarantees an unforgettable stay.
But you can also sleep in one of the rooms of the 18th century castle. Renovated with taste by Alice Tourbier, their authentic and refined style will seduce you.
And the restaurant?
This luxury hotel with a country house feel has everything to please. Between walks in the forest, Caudalie treatments, yoga classes, bike rides, reading by the fire, don’t forget to reserve your table at the restaurant L’Auberge. Chef Frédéric Calmels offers a traditional cuisine based on fresh and local products. A nice bistronomic address to keep.
Staying at Les Sources de Cheverny means enjoying an exceptional natural environment while immersing yourself in a bath of history. To be discovered very quickly!
