An invitation to stroll and marvel at a thousand and one sublimated plant essences.
A stroll in the east of the Corrèze department
At the age of 80, you can still meet him in this exceptional botanical garden, the quintessence of a professional life spent in the service of beauty and well-being. Bernard Mas, the founder of the Sothys cosmetics group, is the creator of this timeless destination, perched at an altitude of 600 metres between Limousin and the Dordogne: Auriac, a family stronghold and the birthplace of Les Jardins Sothys.
Since 2007, this small 4-hectare paradise has been welcoming garden lovers, families and hikers for an immersion in the heart of nature, in the intimacy of enclosed spaces where aromatic plants and perennials (magnificent poppy trees), rose bushes (more than 40 varieties), shrubs, local and rarer trees such as the Magellan beech tree are mixed together… Au fil ” d’Escapades ” inspired by the world of cosmetics and aesthetics is an invitation to stroll. Each garden will amaze you in front of a thousand and one sublimated plant essences.
Fifteen living works of art where water, plants and minerals take you on a extraordinary journey.
Direction l’Escapade Egyptienne, a refreshing oasis imagined as a tribute to the goddess Sothys, with its basin and two obelisks engraved with the brand logo. A little further on, let yourself be led by the tip of your nose to the deliciously fragrant rose garden. Elsewhere, take a break at the Escapade Peau: rough or smooth, red or marbled, you will discover the surprising barks of cork oak, Chinese birch, prunus serrula or serpentine maple.
Les Jardins Sothys are a tribute to beauty and nature reinterpreted, but not only. Since 2015, this remarkable labelled garden has been classified as an LPO refuge. It therefore preserves biodiversity and natural spaces. There is also an organic vegetable garden cultivated with care by the team of gardeners. The chef draws his inspiration from it to concoct the dishes served in the gastronomic restaurant (1 Michelin fork). In this restored barn, you can enjoy a reinvented local cuisine, based on fresh and seasonal products.
At Les Jardins Sothys, the pleasure of the eyes and the taste buds is inseparable from that of the heart…
