Le Grand Hotel Thalasso and Spa, a haven of peace and health on the Basque coast

A unique place

In the heart of the Bay of Saint John, facing the Atlantic Ocean, Le Grand Hotel Thalasso and Spa proudly stands. Located in southwest of France, in the center of the Basque Country, this place of memory has been completely renovated. Faithful to its history, it has kept its assets. The coffered ceilings and the grand wooden staircase have been kept, while injecting modernism and novelty. The contemporary style decoration is signed Patrick Ribes, who was inspired by the great creations of Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann. He has thus brought a creative and modern touch to the historic building.
Since its reopening in 2015, the Grand Hôtel Thalasso et Spa invites you to travel. It offers everything that a guest can look for in an exceptional place. The hotel has 52 spacious rooms and suites with contemporary design and style and a view of the ocean. The atmosphere of each room and suite is bright and warm. It is intended to be soothing for a stay at the height of relaxation.

Open to a majestic terrace, it invites you to taste a local French cuisine inspired by land and sea for succulent dishes. The chef has also developed a detox kitchen that allows guests who are concerned about their weight to discover the flavors of healthy food.
Aditionnely, for lovers of aperitifs in the early evening, the Grand Hotel offers its Clipper bar, a warm British-style space. It offers a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean. Cocktails, wines, champagnes, or daring creations will make you happy. The luckiest ones will have the opportunity to appreciate this moment while watching a magnificent sunset.
