100 million for the company Calicéo Spa & Wellness

Calicéo Spa & Bien-Être, the Lyon-based group founded in 1997, stands out from its competitors by offering thermoludic activities. Establishing itself as a reference in the world of balneotherapy and well-being, it intends to expand throughout France. The group is accelerating its development thanks to a €100 million fundraising.

 

Under the leadership of Marc Léonard, its president since 2018, the brand plans to open other establishments in the Paris region and in Lille.

Calicéo to expand throughout France

The brand already exists in Pau, Nantes, Lyon, Perpignan, Toulouse and Bordeaux and proposes a complete range of relaxation services. Calicéo Spa & Bien-Être wants the largest number of people to have access to the benefits of balneotherapy. With this objective in mind, it wants to complete its network in France by opening eight other centers between 2024 and 2025.

 

These new establishments are planned to be located in or near major French cities. Four openings have already been announced: Lieusaint Sénart in Seine-et-Marne, Saint-Cyr-L’École in Yvelines and Corneilles-en-Parisis in Val-d’Oise. These centers will open their doors in 2023.

 

The group will continue to build on its success by setting up operations north of Lille in 2024. Other new stores will open there, notably in Marcq-en-Barœul. Other projects are also expected to open in eastern Paris, Marseille, Nice and Strasbourg between 2024 and 2025.

Continued diversification of Calicéo’s range of services

The Covid-19 pandemic is slowing down the implementation of Calicéo’s roadmap for deployment in France. However, according to the hotel & spa business news, the group has managed to raise 100 million euros to finance its projects.

 

The company is continuing to refine its offer while remaining focused on relaxation and balneotherapy. It now offers “dry” relaxation activities and others based on health prevention.

 

The company has also embarked on digitalization to optimize the customer experience. The latter can prepare his or her visit to a Calicéo center well in advance.
