Description of the Hotel
The art of living with a French touch, nestled in the details with the desire to please.
Located on the Fourvière hill, cradle of Roman civilisation, with an exceptional view on the town, Villa Maïa is an intimate hotel imagined, designed and decorated by Jacques Grange and Jean Michel Wilmotte et by Louis Benech, for the gardens. This original trio gave fresh insights for Villa Maïa and Lyon.
Seekers of beauty will enjoy the 29 rooms (with a view on the garden or on the city) and the 7 suites influenced by the Japaneses and filled with serenity.
The majestic bathrooms featuring Carrara marble and bright nickel open onto the rooms through glass partitions, which helps to better contemplate the view of Lyon. All the rooms and suites have their private terrace.
Behind the revisited antique vaults in the garden is nestled the Villa Maïa’s Spa, located at the same place as the Roman baths, discovered during archaeological excavations. In the Spa, we’ll also find a covered 20m pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna, a hammam and a fitness room.
The restaurant Tetedoie, located across from the hotel offers an inventive cuisine every day, by a chef who is always seeking gastronomic treats and pleasure.
